Personal Update

If you have been following my youtube channel, twitter and blog for a while you may know that I have been ill most of the summer and I have been unable to really do any updated videos for about a week and a half now. I was able to have a procedure done today and get a diagnosis. With my new information I am hoping to be back on my feet and filming next week! I really want to thank all of my loyal subscribers, followers and friends that have helped through this process and stuck with me!

Pores No More!

We all know that we cannot completely get rid of our pores, but we can reduce them! I used Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque off and on in high school, but now I am an avid user! I use the mask about 2 times a week when I feel like my pores are becoming a little too noticeable for my liking and bam, after 10 minutes they are much smaller! I really can't rave about this product enough, it is only 4 dollars, works like no other face mask, and leaves your skin feeling refreshed but not too tight! I would really recommend this product to anyone, especially now that school is right around the corner. I'm going to use it the night before my first classes for sure!

A New Passion

Although I have danced all of my life and I still am passionate about ballet, I have found a new hobby of sorts. I am beginning to skateboard! It is so much fun! My friend taught me how to long board about a week ago and I was in the mall and found an affordable skateboard so I decided to pick it up. I will keep everyone posted on how I'm doing at this.
So far, I can't turn and I go really slow! :)

Going Green: Back to School!

When I was shopping in Target I saw these adorable notebooks and folders and I decided to look at them sense I hadn't purchased any school supplies yet. What I really like about these notebooks are that they are 60-70 percent recycled! Also their paper is made from soy-based products. The brand is called greenroom, really cute name if you ask me!

20 Habits That Make You Fat--Eek!

Avoid Bad Habits!

I receive Eat This Not That emails in my well..email and I just thought I would share this article with you!

1. Eating "Low-Fat" Foods.
Why? They only save a few calories and replace fats that wouldn't really harm you with carbs that don't help at all! This can create a sugar rush and ultimately make you hungry faster.

2. Not Seeking Nutritional Help
Why? Its obvious! If you aren't really trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

3. Sleeping Too Much/Too Little
Why? The optimal amount of sleep for maintaining a healthy weight is 6-7 hours.

4. Eating Free Restaurant Foods.
Why? By eating these usually carbohydrate filled foods you can add 150-450 calories to your meal, causing you to overeat once you receive and eat your meal.

5. Drinking Soda--Even Diet!
Why? Drinking 1-2 sodas each day increases your chances of becoming overweight by 33%.  Diet soda is no better, people who drank diet watched their waistlines increase 5 times more than those who didn't drink it at all.

6. Skipping Meals.
Why? Skipping a meal slows your metabolism down and raises your hunger. Your body is in prime fat storage mode.

7. Eating too Quickly.
Why? It takes your stomach 20 minutes to tell your stomach that it is full, eating to quickly your stomach will not realize it is full until too late.

8. Watching too Much TV.
Why? While watching TV it is easy to mindlessly snack, keeping your hands occupied reduces this.

9. Ordering a Combo Meal.
Why? You are more likely to buy more food than you want, and overeating is easy.

10. Going to a Buffet.
Why? Over eating is inevitable at buffets. Facing your back to the food can help you not fixate on certain dishes.

11. Eating off of a Larger Plate.
Why? Again more food, more calories!

12. Putting the Serving Dishes on the Table.
Why? When you see the food right in front of you, you're more likely to go for seconds, and less likely if you have to get up to get them.

13. Choosing White Bread.
Why? White bread does not have the nutritional value that whole grain breads do, therefore you are going to become more hungry faster.

14. Taking Big Bites.
Why? You consume more calories and if you cut your bites in half you will eat slower, realizing your fuller faster.

15. Not Drinking Enough Water
Why? Water prompts a metabolic boost which can get rid of 50 calories a day!

16. Having Overweight Friends
Why? You are more likely to be exposed to overeating and engage in it yourself. Don't think you have to stop being friends! Just suggest healthier foods and activities to eat and do!

17. Eating too Late.
Why? When eating after 8pm you can take in most of your daily calories and your stomach has a harder time digesting food when it is in sleep mode.

18. Avoiding a Scale.
Why? Looking at your weight reinforces weight loss, and this makes it different to cheat on your diet and reach your goals. Don't be thrown off by natural fluctuations!

19. Drinking Fruity Beverages.
Why? Most of these have syrups and not fresh fruit. These syrups are filled with sugars and calories!

20 Emotional Eating.
Why? You will take in more calories than you need for the day and most likely the foods won't be very nutritious for you! Chew gum or drink a glass of water with fresh fruit in it!

Back To School: Drugstore Makeup Tutorial!



I just recently filmed and uploaded a back to school makeup tutorial. What I love about this tutorial is that all of the products can be found at the drugstore and its simple to do! My entire face took me about 15 minutes. I used a lot of Revlon colorstay products and L'oreal products! :)

Sweet Tooth? No Problem!


I am guilty of having a terrible sweet tooth. If I could sit on my butt and eat Reeces cups all day I definitely would. This is a great mid day snack that I find curbs my sweet tooth and fills me up until dinner.
What I really like about this dish is that it is so simple but so delicious!

1 Serving of Vanilla Soy Yogurt (Vanilla Greek Yogurt if you prefer, I am just lactose intolerant)
5 Strawberries
Arrange as you like.

So simple!
I really like to dip my strawberries into the vanilla yogurt and eat them as if I'm eating a chocolate covered strawberry (or vanilla!)
Make sure you purchase a yogurt with probiotics because they are great for your digestive health!

You're Never Too Old!

This is Zoe Lane. She is the newest addition to my family!! Although I'm 21 I believe that it is important to stay young because you only live once! I have always loved stuffed animals so my boyfriend brought me to build-a-bear and we built Zoe! We even bought her a sleeping bag of her own.
